Wheny is a free iPhone app for US college students. Pick your school, add your classes, and send a friend your schedule link: both timetables land on the same grid and the hours you are both free are marked.
Yes. In Wheny you add your classes, send a friend your schedule link, and both schedules land on the same grid with the hours you are both free marked. Nothing is uploaded — the schedule travels inside the link itself.
Build your schedule in the app, tap Share, and send the link by text. When your friend opens it, your schedule appears in their app next to theirs. They can send theirs back the same way.
Wheny is free. Pick your school and this term's academic dates — drop/add, withdrawal deadlines, final exam weeks — appear on the calendar, with optional reminders on your phone. Academic calendars are available for 1118 of the 2766 US colleges in the app.
Every US college is in the list — 2766 of them. For 475 schools you can search this term's actual course list and tap to add classes. For every other school you add your classes by hand, and reminders, the timetable, and friend overlap all work the same.
No. You can use everything as a guest — timetable, deadlines, campus events, reminders. Signing in with Apple is only needed to share schedules with friends, so they can tell who sent what.
On your phone. There is no user database. The app downloads your school's public course list and academic calendar from this website; nothing about you is sent back.
Yes. Turn on class alerts and your phone reminds you a set number of minutes before each class. The reminders are scheduled by your own phone, so they work offline.
